Shooting in direct sunlight is always tricky so try to use your surroundings to help you get the best photo possible. Sand in the sun is basically a giant bounce. A bounce with an ND filter will do wonders. If you still have trouble with lighting then, when in doubt, shoot backlit. I shot both ways for this set, in direct sunlight and with the sun behind Shell. Yellow or any light color is hard to keep so an ND filter was for sure needed or else it would have blown out.
When shooting in direct sunlight, always under expose!!!
