This was shot that last time Tianna and I worked together. Seeing how much I have improved from when I first met T and being a photographer that she most worked with, the pressure that I put on my self to keep raising the bar becomes more and more. Everything came natural at first and we were always up to experiment with looks and lighting. That being said, not everything we shot was good. There are photos that will never see the light of day because they simply didn’t meet the caliber of work that we were producing. Now I am getting deeper and deeper into color grading which sometimes take longer than the actual editing process. This set is a perfect example. For this set, had 2 soft boxes with light colored gels in them, and the backdrop was purple. In my post-production, I was able to make the purple blue, and bring the highlights out a lot with out blowing out some of the details, like the water droplets on her skin. I am beginning to add a little bit of noise for texture and less for the aesthetic.
I am happy with how I am evolving as a photographer, the photos I’m taking now have a more “REAL” sense.
